Programme Note
The fragility of an idea, beginning as a mere shadow of a thought, growing until it takes full form, and from it, others, even more dangerous ones, multiply. Breathless and uncertain, wavering and unstable, these gestures become more and more bold, before a new and more alien idea takes hold through sustained chords. Voices fight back, becoming more and more insistent, until eventually all remnants of the original are essentially lost.
